Community service and language learning is an integral part of this Church Mobilization opportunity. The Church Mobilization team that you would be a part of believes that our Savior Jesus Christ has destined the Arab Christian community to play a leading role in spreading the Gospel among Arab Muslims. Arab Christians are being emboldened to share their faith. As internationals serving within Church Mobilization, our task is to understand the dynamics of the Middle East in general and particular from an Arab Christian perspective so that we can in turn learn from, identify with, serve alongside, and, finally, mobilize Arab Christians into sharing their faith in Jesus Christ with their neighbors. This evangelism philosophy serves as the backbone of all ministry activity we undertake within the community.
A 1-2 year internship which includes some training, with an emphasis on Arabic study and friendship evangelism. The focus is on seeing people operating comfortably in the language and culture, and being effective in ministry as soon as possible.
Nearly 50% of this Middle Eastern country's population are tribal peoples who tend to live in the more rural and harder to reach areas of the country.
What we dream about at night is seeing these unreached peoples in the rural areas of this country come to know Jesus Christ! We have a deep, unabated love for these people who have been totally without the Gospel hope for generation upon generation. It is our dream that, in the good providence of God, there will be a salvation harvest of these rural men, woman and children which will last for endless generations to come. We have the dream; we just don’t have the people.
Interested in North Africa? Come for 1 or 2 years and be part of the Global Action program. Study language (local Arabic dialect) and culture & take the time to develop your unique ministry. The aim is to learn as much as you can, be exposed to a variety of different experiences and realize how YOU can make a difference here, sharing the good news!
The 1 year program is ideal for those looking to do something different in their gap year. The 2 year program is an excellent opportunity for those looking to take a few years to contribute to God's global Kingdom. It is also a perfect transition for those called to a long term commitment in N. Africa. Come and explore with us.
